Solar thermal energy for industrial heat with ENESTRA
How solar thermal energy works for industrial heat
In solar thermal systems, the collector absorbs solar radiation through a dark absorber surface and converts it into heat. This heat is transferred to a circulating heat transfer medium, usually water or a water-glycol mixture. The heated medium then flows through a heat exchanger or directly into a buffer storage tank, where it transfers the energy to the industrial heating system. From there, the heat is used for process steps such as washing, drying, preheating, or steam generation. If the solar heat is insufficient, a conventional heating system switches on to stabilize the temperature.
